PNG Reference Library: libpng

This is an open source project to develop and maintain the reference library for use in applications that read, create, and manipulate PNG (Portable Network Graphics) raster image files.

UPDATE 7 May 2008: The latest released versions are libpng-1.0.37 and libpng-1.2.29. [DOWNLOAD] Libpng-1.2.27 fixes the CVE-2008-1382 vulnerability with zero-length unknown chunks. Here is the security advisory. Libpng-1.2.29 syncrhronizes the configuration files.

UPDATE 25 June 2008 The latest development versions are libpng-1.2.30beta02 and libpng-1.4.0beta19. Libpng-1.4.0 has fallen sadly out-of-date with respect to the released version. [DOWNLOAD]
